Lodz Region is located in the central Poland. It includes specific transition zone between the Upland South and Central Polish Lowland. Łódź Province with the capital is particularly associated with the culture of the textile and clothing industry.

Energy has become a driving force in the Lodz region. For this reason, local authorities and many entrepreneurs as well as researchers support and join in the efforts to develop energy Lodz region.

Energy and renewable energy sources have been included in the industries with the greatest potential for development. Among the objectives listed in the Regional Innovation Strategy LORIS Lodz Region by 2030 aims to increase the competitiveness of the energy and energy security of the country.
